By clicking on the “+” icon at the top of the News list you can add a new post. If you click on one of the News elements in the list, it will open to edit it. In both cases the following view looks and works the same.
Status
The Status sets, if the element will show up in the app or is archived. These are the three different states:
Published: If a Entry is published it will show up in the app
Draft: The Entry will not show up in the app. This is great for preparing content and setting to “Published” whenever it’s needed
Archived: You can set a entry to archived to hide in within the app
Hero
First you have to define the Hero Media type for this post. There are three different media types available.
Image
Video
Gallery
Image
If you select Image as the hero media file type the post will appear with an image in the news feed. You have to upload a image file.
Video
If you select Video, you post will appear with an a moving thumbnail in the news feed. You have to upload a video file, as the moving thumbnail and have to add a Vimeo link as the video, which should be played.
If you choose “Video” you we really encourage you to upload a image as well, as a backup option, in the case the users internet speed is slow and the video can’t be loaded in time
Gallery
If you select Gallery as the hero media file type, you can upload several images for the gallery and they will appear in the news feed.
Title and Description
Here you can set the title and the date of the post.
Location
Here you can set the country and the city of the post.
Post Content
This is the core / the most important part of the post. Here you can add several sections to your post. These sections can be:
A text block (”Post Description”)
A Photo Gallery (”Post Gallery”)
A Showreel (”Post Recent Work”)
You can add as many of these blocks to your post as you like and sort them in any order.
Filters and Search
This section is all about the make it even easier for a user to find the content in your app.
Tags
Here you can assign the tags to a News / Feed entry. By this the News / Feed entry will show up, if you user selects a specific Tag in the app.
Keywords
By adding keywords you can even add more words, which will be used when the user search in the application for a News / Feed entry. These keywords will not show up in the user interface / design of the app.
But there are helping to make the app more accessable and easier to use.
Tip You can even add the translations to all the Tags. So you don't have to add all the translations individually and manually to all the News / Feed entries. If you have the tag "Behind the Scenes" you can add all the translations to it and they are automatically assigned to the News / Feed entries this tag is assigned to. More about this you will find in this Article Add and Edit Tags for Filtering
