The Like Feature is really important feature to collect feedback within a pre-production about a casting, a location selection or some art department props.
Te like feature only appears on selected Dropbox Paths.
Who can like folders?
Every Login for you Film Production App, needs to be assigned to user. If you Add a new Login to your App to give one of your team or an external access, you have to assign this new login to one of the user roles.
There are two different types of user roles:
Guest
The Guest role ist the default role. This role has no like permission. So you can assign this to all the user, which should have access to your linked Dropbox paths, but should not have the permission to leave any like.
Tip: No one (even the admin) can delete the guest role. So you can be sure, that this role will always be show up.
Producer, Director, Agency, Client ....
These are the roles with the permission to leave a like in your Film Production App. Any User who is assigned to one of these roles can leave a like within the Film Production App to the folders.
Check out how to Add and Edit these Roles.
Which Folders can be liked?
There is an easy rule to check, if an App User can like a folder:
The folder has to be the last one! If the folder contains min. 1 other folder, it is not likeable. The last folder is always representing the pictures of a casting or a location. That's why your App users can always like the last one.
The following example is showing this in a easy way:
Here you can see three folder levels.
First Level
Folder "Location Scout" ➡️ includes other folders ➡️ it is not likeable
Second Level
Folder "Houses" ➡️ does not include other folders ➡️ it is likeable
Folder "Deserts" ➡️ includes other folders ➡️ it is not likeable
Third Level
Folder "Auditorio Nacional" ➡️ does not include other folders ➡️ it is likeable
Folder "Scouting Day 1" ➡️ does not include other folders ➡️ it is likeable
Folder "Scouting Day 2" ➡️ does not include other folders ➡️ it is likeable
How can I see which user role liked a folder?
Within a folder, which is likeable you can always see the filter bar right above the navigation bar.
By clicking on it, it will expand and shows all user roles, which are assigned to a user, which is assigned as well to this project.
By selecting these roles, you can see the matching likes given by these roles.
Attention 🚨 If more then one user is assigned to one user role, these likes will be combined. For example: If more users are assigned to the role "Agency" they will have a combined like. You can not see the like by on specific person.
Filter "All"
If you click "All" within the filter bar, all other tags will be de-selected and you only see the filter result, which was like by all user rolls.
